We have so many exciting opportunities coming up between now and the end of term, we just had to share them with you now...Such as the announcement of the Queensland Young Tech Ambassador program (YTA). See below on how you can take advantage of this free Queensland Government Service.

Remember to access the awesome online event Girls Day Out in STEM in celebration of UN International Women's Day; and keeping the girl theme going - a state of origin style battle with Brain STEM - Girls competition.

We are pleased to announce a great new service where we connect emerging tech professionals with our GISP schools.

The YTA program engages young tech professionals to come to your school to share their stories and answer questions from any students considering a tech career.

Maybe you have a career event, or you are organising something for Girls in ICT day. Perhaps it is your turn to run an assembly and you want to promote tech careers to students. We have a group of wonderful graduates and early career professionals who are eager to share their experience along with career pathway hacks that I am sure your students would appreciate.

BiG Day In events are for year 9-12 school students to explore careers in technology. Held on university campuses, students gain insight into ‘university life’ and are able to make better informed decisions about their future.

GISP has a limited amount of complimentary tickets for our schools (max. 10 per school), allocated on a first in basis. If you would like to claim these tickets, please email Erin Cowling.

The BrainSTEM GAMES is a 12-week #GirlsInSTEM Mentoring Program Offered to Year 9-10 students (and teachers) designed to:

* Encourage practical skills, creativity and entrepreneurial thinking in high-school students, through the delivery of hands-on STEM-related events and activities.

* Use gamification and mentoring to inspire students to pursue STEM disciplines in their study and work.

* Make a positive and ongoing impact on girls under 18 years of age, particularly those from historically under-represented groups.
